Q: Why should I insist on a genuine vintage car for my wedding?

A: Vintage cars (manufactured 1919 - 1930) are well known for their individuality and style. Austin cars of this era are renowned for their quality and dependability.

Q: How original are they?

A: Every effort has been made to keep our cars as authentic and original as practically possible, including the registration plates and engines.

Q: Is there much room in the back?

A: Yes. In the 1920's the passenger came first in formal cars. Access to the rear is through tall, wide, hinged doors (ideal for wedding dresses as you can see below).

Q: Are vintage cars reliable?

A: Yes. To ensure reliability, our cars are in daily use and regularly attend vintage car rallies. All maintenance and restoration is carried out in-house.

Q: How expensive were the cars when they were new?

A: Motoring, when these cars were new, was a very expensive pastime. The Gordon Landaulet would have cost more than the price of two large semi-detached houses.

Q: How many people will your vintage cars carry?

A: Each car can carry up to 4 passengers.

Q: Do you decorate the cars?

A: All cars are decorated with white ribbons and seat covers. Silk and often fresh flowers are included.

Q: Why aren't all the cars white/ivory?

A: In wedding photographs, a white wedding dress shows better definition against a darker car.

Q: Do chauffeurs wear uniforms?

A: Yes. All chauffeurs are dressed in dark uniforms and caps.

Q: Are there reduced rates for 2 and 3 cars?

Q: Can we call at a venue for photographs after the service?

A: Yes. Please contact us for more details.

Q: Are your vintage cars more expensive to hire than reproduction vintage and classic cars?

A: No. Mid-week rates for single trips start from just £100.

Q: Do we have to pay the full amount when booking?

A: No, but there is a £50 booking deposit per car.
